Event-full
The four days spent at this year’s International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam was certainly that - and more - for Evergent. Activities galore, nonstop connections and conversations and a bevy of transformative announcements made for quite the entertaining Dutch half-week.
From the moment our team members converged together from all corners of the globe to witness the final touches of our booth assembly at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre through one final evening team walk along the promenade at the conclusion of the show, we truly embodied one of IBC 2023’s three designated content pillars, “People and Purpose” while our evolving suite of products certainly fits right in with the other two pillars, “Transformative Tech” and “Shifting Business Models.”
While final tallies are still being determined, the constant buzz of activity around the more than 1,000 exhibitors on the show floor backs up pre-show predictions of an expected 45,000 attendees, a 25% bump from last year’s show - the first since COVID.
Meetups and More
Our group was kept on our toes between the mixture of prearranged sit-downs and off-the-cuff chitchat, listening to a wide range of challenges and pain points defined with potential solutions on how to monetize, scale and grow offered in return.
Happily, we were surrounded by others willing to help us ‘toot our horn,’ between the networking lunches and happy hours co-hosted with our friends at AWS, Google, Mux and Quickplay. Members of our partner ecosystem including MediaKind, To The New, Mux and AWS also took up the charge by hosting pinpointed demonstrations of our product suite’s flexible feature set.
All the News That’s Fit to Announce
All that interactive support wasn’t the only reason we were riding high into the conference, as the following high-profile announcements will attest. The incoming stream of news included our application of AI technology for intelligent payment retries and predictive churn management within our Captivate Product Suite, our Sports Accelerator set of features for sports streaming, the inclusion of the Evergent Revenue & Royalty Management on the AWS Marketplace and our innovative new partnership with the world leader in digital platform cybersecurity, Irdeto - celebrated onsite with champagne and cheers all around.
Dig Data Deeply
Over on the ‘ChangeMakers’ stage, tasked with covering show topics from inclusive technology to ethical AI that are driving positive change within the industry, Evergent Founder & CEO, Vijay Sajja, joined an immersive program discussing today’s most valuable commodity, data. Vijay and other executives spoke at length about how advanced technology, including AI, can be properly applied to mine subscriber insights safely and securely - for its true, full potential.
For those who didn’t get to check out the session in person, don’t worry as we plan to make this content available in other forms soon.
And for those who didn’t have the opportunity to meet our team in person at IBC, there’ll be plenty more opportunities - starting right now, actually!
